    Something that just occured to me, that stone...

    Something that just occured to me, that stone looks as if it is from the hybrid, Les Lat layer. I have seen that color in parts of Les Lat stones.

    +1 to what Ron just said. Sure looks to be a coticule. Some kind of deposit in the layer that maybe reacted to the moisture it was exposed to when lapping ? :thinking:
