I've scuffed my strop and doing the palm of the hand thing also helps over time to take the scuffs out or at least blend them so they are not noticeable.

I've got a couple of customs with worked backs that have scratched a strop. That is now my default strop for those kinds of razors. :) I have the 90,000 and I take it out of the box and look at it...
