I'm working on the angle that a horsehide strop would be enough of a difference to justify another purchase. The fact that it would also include a canvas strop and jangly, shiny hardware...

My only problem is that I got a Starter strop to begin with, and it is so damn nice and effective I can't justify springing for a top of the line model.:(
