I wouldn't be surprised, but if so it was a darn...
I wouldn't be surprised, but if so it was a darn small crack, or maybe an internal flaw of some sort, because it wasn't visible while I was sanding & polishing...

Well, did some grinding, and some bread-knifing, and she's back. A little more polishing and I'll be ready to set the bevel and go...

Work in progress...
I should have thought to take some "before" pics before I started sanding the blade...
This is a 6/8, very hollow, Genco "Forge Mark" I just got off ebay. I was originally intending to clean it...
