    I think the original idea of using a slurry on the coticule came from someone who claimed it made the stone more aggressive and worked faster so you could in theory make it work like two stones...

    You are using a slurry stone on the Norton 8000?...

    You are using a slurry stone on the Norton 8000? Bad move, don't do that. The slurry stones work good on natural stones and some higher grit synthetics but I wouldn't recommend it on the Norton.
