For daily use finishing directly before the shave, I prefer a hanging strop. I do have a paddle strop which I use for travel and it works well, it just requires a steadier hand.

I wouldn't paste a hanging strop. The slight bowing the strop does, even when held very taut, would round the edge. If you must use such a strop, I recommend you lay it flat on the counter rather...
