OK, so I inked up the existing bevel with a...
OK, so I inked up the existing bevel with a marker and took it to a 12k for a few laps without taping her up.
After about 3 round trips, that ink was gone !

But I would think since the leather strop is a bit more flexible than a stone, the small amount of deviation you would hone in with tape... -
