The scales are bendy plastic, the pins are skinny cheap brass which look as if they have been hit in hap-hazardly.

The standard scales are very poor and put on by a blind man with a hilti-gun, with poor hand-eye co-ordination..

There are two serious flaws with DA's :nono:
1 The scales are not very well made or fitted
2 They are not made in the UK ;)

I hate to say it as they are made in sweat shops, I'm sure, but they really are OK........

I didn't use tape on the spine. I set bevel on dmt 1200 so the whole razor was sharp, then polished the edge. No harder than any other easy to hone razor, but, I did get a straight one..:)

Hello. Yes they are in current production. DA's trade name in the uk is Artimis (or is it Artamis?) and you can get them in most proper independant tobacconists.
I have seen them for sale recently...
