It's fairly uniform in color with a few darker streaks. I've got one of the purple stones that AJ (ebay welsh hones) and it looks very similar

I found this 7" X 2-3/8" x 1/2" vintage hone today, I think it's a Llyn Melynllyn

Definitely not a BBW, but has purple slurry. It looked terrible on all sides when I got it, I lapped one side so...
