Unicorns may exist but I've yet to see a Jnat that can finish a 12k edge edge in 5-6 strokes like a Gok 20k.

Well actually... 3 or 4 light strokes on the Jnat , bone dry after the 20k should do it. Works with mine anyway :shrug:

Only difference I found was that everything happens quicker with the Gok 20. Virtually imperceptible difference in sharpness or comfort.

Can also be black spots which leave deep craters if cleaned out.

I can tell you they're no fun to hone or strop. Have to be very mindful of not rolling off the bevels.

Just a thought. All the extra work after the 20k may have solved the problem rather than any one stone being the solution.

Hairlines near or on the spine can be surface cracks due to heat treat or possibly even from a drop. Of course I have no idea what the depth of your one is.
