    It would be hard to guess what may have happened to your stone over a 4 year period. I only have 2 fairly new choceras but I will treat them like my Shaptons.

    Nope you're wrong. My Atoma 1200 was brand new. That I had to start with 80 grit SiC on glass should make it obvious how warped my stone was.

    The Atoma have a raised surface so stiction is no issue unless you never rinse it while lapping.
    They also have a consistency of flatness that DMT doesn't have.
