Of course, the swipe on glass pushes the burr to the side making it accessible to the next stone where it is quickly removed.

Always hard for us to guess what people mean...
Always hard for us to guess what people mean without a micro pic but a burr will always disappear via a light pass on glass whereas chips won't.

You can't because the stabiliser will still lift the heel & put more pressure on the toe.
You could quite easily knock that hook back on a DMT. -

I've seen this with chips resulting from dings on the tap (faucet).
I postulate that the damage runs deeper than is visible so that when the bevel is set & the edge is still relatively coarse it...
