I still check by reading the labels with the 2k & 8k.
The 320 grit & the 1500 grit also. One is a darker blue than the other but that's where the similarity stops. :) -

Yes ! they're almost like one step away from DMT's in speed. I don't have the 30 k because it's too exe but the others take me to my Jnats very quickly.

My experience is: sharpest edges = no slurry...
My experience is:
sharpest edges = no slurry
Fastest cutting = slurry
wire creation = very easy
5k or 8k = good stopping point on soft steels before finishing
Less is more = too true -

Wouldn't hurt to use a waterproof sharpie in that case to label them.
I usually spray them first but if I lap them I feel they are wet enough .
IIRC recommended soak time is mere minutes, 5-10 ? -
