Sniff the scales. If there is an off-smell to them, it could be the celluloid deteriorating and that causes corrosion. If you have any doubts, take them off and put on another set.

Those are Filarmonica razors from a Spanish manufacturer that went out of biz recently. The numbers are just model number that ROUGHLY correspond to the blade size. I didn't get around to measuring...

Ivo, I'll agree with you in MOST cases but the gold really looks nice on the Filly 12. Which goes to prove that there are exceptions to every rule.
