I already have a TEW of similar configuration. I was going to put on a set of DOVO SS scales on it, but I think I'll just make a couple of new sets out of chechen.

You won't be disappointed for waiting. I finally shave-tested mine. The edge is superb. The only issue that I have is with the scales. They are a bit on the heavy side and that messes with control....

I'll finish mine on the Norton and chances are that I will keep her as a dark-side twin to my TEW French point oblique wedge as the TEW is finished in satin and so are its intended scales.

I honed out the nick on mine on the 1k, so it's ready to get going on the Norton tomorrow with the two for sale pieces that I'm getting ready. I'll post an update as soon as I do a shave-test on it.

Don't get me wrong... It's still worth the price based on Randy's experience and the looks of it. Gonna have to make some time for a honing session and confirm this.

Mine also came with a small ding that will need some 1k lovin' to remove but the scales were fine and I like the stiff grind.

If it´s a decent shaver that will take and hold an average edge, it´s more than worth the price non-shave-ready. Therefore, I don´t see any issues here,

I placed a small bid on one of these, but won't be able to do anything with it before Feb. 22nd as I'm going on vacation on Saturday.

Are you planning on putting up some BIN auctions or making sales off e-bay? I might be interested in giving one a test shave or three, depending on the price.

They could be NOS Polish-made, but I'd like to have a real honemeister test one before forming an opinion.
