Pabster, my initial thoughts are this.

Although the razor is a weighty beast, the balance is so good that this isn't an issue.
I stropped the razor, but apart from that i used it as it arrived...

It's arrived!
I'm about to go lather up right now & take it for a jaunt!
It weighs in at just over 3.5oz & has the most perfect balance.
