The shampoo seems to have done the trick. I used Dove I think, whatever she has in the shower. At soaked up right quickly.

I gave it a good shampooing this morning, we'll see how that works after it dries. I'll probably still grab some of that stuff from Ray, it sounds exactly like what I need. Thanks all.

Ok my silvertip is having a hard time soaking up water like it used to. I've seen you guys briefly mention a borax soak, etc. When I submerse it in hot water, I can see little air bubbles all over...
