My latest turning project. the Cherry Burl shaving bowl I've been aiming to turn for months, finally got it done. Finish with Min Wax Natural stain and sealed with 5 coats Polyurethane.

I apply 4- 5 coats of Min Wax Polyurethane to seal/waterproof shaving bowls and brush handles.

I made this one for a long handled shaving brush made from 6 pieces of Walnut.

Here are pics of a shaving bowl I turned earlier this year out of a piece of Cherry Burl and sent to a fellow member in Austria. I think I'm going to let my hands rest and heal a bit and turn myself...

Very nice work!! Been turning for a couple of years but am having to give it up for a while due to having problems with my 71 year old hands from sand, cleaning, polishing, etc. straight razor blades...
