A nice relaxing shave at my old fashioned shaving stand in the bedroom after a morning climbing with friends.
Did two passes for a change, the second pass with a lot of 'buffing'...

My last horse hair experiment. I find the hair a little prickly and I don't care for that but have no idea if there is a break in period.

May this week bring you each a new joy! Thanks for all the posts last week, brightened my days!
Shaved by the Gong!
Gong, EveReady, Mug by sheer good fortune, Green mountain “Spice,” Strop and BayRum by Hidestoart. Damage control by Osma. (un-necessary!)
The blade was a mess and needed TLC, scales, and serious honing. and. now, minus a mm it paid back the efforts and time in a super close shave in two passes. The other players always satisfy and no less today!

So I got to thinking that perhaps a good all over hone would take my new guy from great to unbelievable. I was right. The second pass was pretty academic but I did it just for fun. These ice water shaves are fantastic in hot weather and render fabulous results. Just the thing for a hot summer day. This shave really was off the chain
