Apparently, you can shave on a razor with an incorrectly set bevel, but it takes extra passes and pressure, and isn’t all that comfortable. Back to the stones.

08-19-2015, 12:10 AM #80Today’s shave was no less sensational than the one I had yesterday. The razor, a Henckels Friodur 7/8 in stainless steel had a decent bevel; however I took it to a 600 grit Chosera to improve it. Stainless steel is a PITA to hone but once you dial it, it stays sharp for a looong time. Next I polished it on a MS Muller with slurry and water and finally to the Arkansas Translucent. HOG
