The fading of Christmas. My favorite ornament is in the pic, a spider. It was purchased from a church Christmas sale decades ago. As the tree nears its end I always think of dismantling a tree many many moons ago when my son was about 5. I was up on a stepladder taking down the highest ornaments when I heard a sound behind me that I did not recognize. I turned to look, and my son was sobbing. That always reminds me to look at Christmas through the eyes of a child.
