The shave I've been waiting for featuring complete British elegance..
I used my La Grise coticule that has been sitting in the closet unused for ages. I've been going through the old stones and reassessing everything. To say I'm surprised by the edge, and shave, off the La Grise would be a serious understatement! Keen but very smooth, just as I had asked Bart to choose for me years ago, on one of his visits to the mine at Ardennes. Probably as good as any coticule out there. I'm still very surprised by it.
I also used my new favorite brush .. The Simpsons M7 with Manchurian Badger hair. A perfect handle shape for me, and I'm as impressed with the Manchurian as I was with the old 2-Band Super hair.
D.R Harris soap and splash are favorites also ... Something everyone should treat themselves to..
The Hobson razor, in Sheffield steel was a gift from a friend in Angelsey, Wales. Sheffield steel is extra special, in my humble opinion..
A special shave.. and I love that shiny bevel!

Some gorgeous blades being posted my friends. Ill have to bring it back down with a freshly honed beater.
J. Wiss & Sons 'Aristocrat' Very Square Point.. it bit me once behind the ear.
MdC with a Synthetic brush..
Finished with an Alum bar and the Osage Rub, followed by a splash of Pinaud Clubman.
My little brother got home right as i was finishing up and remarked 'it smells like an old barber shop in here".
