My second second straight razor shave ever. Even though my strop has yet to arrive, I was eager to get a shave in since I had plenty of free time this morning. Fortunately, I found a notepad to use as a makeshift strop (hopefully those people over at B&B are right about this).

The makeshift strop must have worked because this time was incredible! I felt much more comfortable with the speed/angle this time. With only a single WTG pass, I got a closer shave than I've ever had when shaving WTG with any cartridge razor. A couple barely existent nicks dried up before ever needing to take out the styptic pencil.

I barely know what I'm doing, and I already never want to shave with a non-straight again. I'm coming to like the sport a lot.

The Cremo adds a nice slickness, to any soap. Glad your enjoying the ride so far.
It does become addicting in an unusual way though. Who'd have thought shaving could be so fun.

You're right about the Cremo. I can't imagine how horrible the shave would be with just the hotel foam. (To be fair, it's the nicest foam I've ever used, but that doesn't change the fact that it's still pressurized foam in a canister.) I can't wait to find out what it's like to shave with a proper soap or cream.
