    SOTD July 26, 2016

Some time ago I purchased a Genco Gold Seal SR in an antique store and I honed it yesterday. And this morning I put it to the shave test and I was very pleased. A nice keen edge and a smooth shave. Two passes and all is well.

How do you like the 21 mm? I find my current brush to be too big (it's a VdH boar, which I think is 24mm but I haven't been able to find precise measurements anywhere), and I've been eying Thater brushes in the 20–22mm range.

It's the only brush I've owned so I can't make comparisons. It's fine, I guess. A little scritchy.

The more I see that brush, the better I like it! It takes from the best features of a "7" and a Beehive. Very attractive...

    Great photo, BTW!
