Tom's WB is a lovingly-restored, keen-edged beast of a blade, and demands a gentle touch and low angles (thanks again, buddy!!), and that buttery shell makes sure it stays that way while in my care. The Wholly Kaw is my new favorite croap by a long-shot, and whips up into pillowy clouds of slick lather with my favorite brush that my son gave me for Christmas. A generous splash of my favorite after-shave makes my face ready for a beautiful (if hot) Sunday.

I love the patina on that Tiger, Mike. I have left 90 percent of my vintage razors with most of their natural patina still on the blade. To me, it tells a story. Very nice, sir.

The Scuttle is in perfect, chip free condition. The Ottoman, while showing its age was a terrific shaver with wonderful flow to the blade. A nice smile and a comfortable grip.

Another shave with Wickham Irish Fern. This time open air:

• Wickham 1912 Irish Fern Shaving Soap (definitely very good soap),
• Dovo Bismarck II 6/8 straight razor,
• RL strop,
• Edwin Jagger Edwin Super Badger Shaving Brush ∅21 mm (too small),
• wet day, so without aftershave – only few sprays of green Jaguar EDT for Men (good and cheap).

Far better than I expected.
I spent some time with it on the Livi loom strop yesterday and I was totally blown away by the smoothness and the audible feedback. A definite favourite.
