Celestino. Acer japonicum are one of my favourite trees, strikingly beautiful, especially in the autumn. Great photo as always.

Ahhhhhhh...it finally arrived.
Got a package in the mail last night, and my custom Koraat finally arrived from Ulrik in Austria.
It is a custom 14-2.0 straight razor.
It is supposed to be a tribute to the blades stamped “14” from Filarmonica.
I requested it be shortened a 1/2” to help in the maneuverability around the contours of my face. (Heck, no one really used the ENTIRE length of the blade on every swipe, do they)?
It was a crazy nice shave. Not crispy sharp like a “DE Feather blade” edge. But not fully like a 1/4 wedge either.
And with the “bellied full hollow grind,” the sound and feel were truly unique.
The shave was superb!
I matched it with an awesome autumn scent, and I strutted out of my shaving area with my chin up in the air like my daddy owned oil fields in Texas.
Got a 3-day weekend, so I’ll be spending the day with my baby daughter...and then some weights, sparring, and a good run later in the early evening.

Thanks, Mark. We have quite a few Japanese Maple trees throughout Vancouver. They are magnificently beautiful when in full bloom.
