Great shave this early Thursday morning.

I was slammed in a rush, so no straight razor today. 😩

But I did place a new Personna MedPrep blade in the DE razor, and went at it.

Head and face shave done in 15 minutes…with 3 passes on the face, and 3 passed on the “noggin”. (The head).

Southern Witchcrafts unscented soap is pretty much spectacular. No scent to clash with the other scents on your body. And being “vegan,” I’m just in awe with what they’ve done.

So many top-notch soaps out there now-a-days, but yet they blow most of them away with their cracee formula.

    Maybe it’s magic…or witchcraft?

Either way, definitely one of the very best soaps I’ve ever tried. I’ll continue to use them as my “unscented” soap of choice.

Decided to try out the PAA “Fresco” sample I was given. Glad I did.

Like most of PAA’s splashes/colognes, it is kinda overly strong. Towels, shirts, clothes, my daughter…they all smell like their splashes when I use them undiluted. (It rubs-off on everything).

But I knew better. So I placed enough balm on my palm for my head and face, and just a smidgen of the splash on the balm.

Rubbed everything together, then applied to my head and face.

    Puuuuuuurfecto-Mundo!

    The scent was nice and clean. I sense orange…but I don’t. I sense spices…but I don’t.

    Unique and clean.

Wifey and the daughter both approved.

For a run out of the shower and shave, it was an incredible, baby butt smooth shave. (Head was spectacular. But I can get cleaner face shaves with my straight razors).

Try a sample of “Fresco”. It might just be what your are looking for.

    DE: Carbon Shaving Cx-316L
    Lather: Southern Witchcrafts “Incorporeal” (Unscented)
    Balm: Soap Commander “Integrity” (unscented)
    Splash: PAA “Fresco”
    Brush: WCS Beacon (synthetic)
    Bowl: Soap Commander (large)

SOTD FRIDAY MORNING, MAY 28, 2021

Sorry for missing the last month. I had a health blip that sidelined me, but I’m back and glad to be here. This old man crap can really ruin one’s day. My Kildare (that’s doctor for you young sprouts) has banned ‘spiritus frumenti’ for at least another month, and SWMBO’s mothering the bejeezus out of me, but I’m otherwise about 80%. I don’t know if I’ll be able to manage daily posts, but I’ll do my best. Rather than use use those multibladed plastic thingamajigs in the hospital, I elected not to shave. As a result I ended up looking like a wooly mammoth upon discharge home today.

My first shave featured my favorite vintage razor, the Sheffield Manhattan Cutlery 13/16 and the Schick Model C injector, old classics like yours truly. My first task was to remove most of the overgrown whisker roughage with electric clippers. This was followed by lathering up with the best shaving soap in the world, MWF, IMHO. The three pass mug shave felt great and was followed by an equally exemplary two pass noggin shave. How nice to return to my regular cue ball state. I feel clean and wonderfully smooth.

RAZOR: Manhattan Cutlery 13/16 (Mug), Schick Model C (Dome)
    BLADE: Schick Injector
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: JT Sapele/Resin Handled Omega Pro48 Boar
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse withHumphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Pre de Provence Bergamot & Thyme Balm.

Cracee nice head and face shave.

Love the soap slickness, and love the scent. Unique, but I definitely look forward to using it.

Pulled out the ole Herr Aust for a super comfortable and baby-butt smooth shave.

No splash today, as they do not sell the matching splash.

But their balm is not only great skin food, but also a great medium for a long-lasting scent. Perfect combo, and saves a few bucks…and shelf space.

    Crushing Friday!
