That's the best looking Stenton and Son I've seen so far Tom! I had a mason etched one once. Sold it to a guy in Russia. A collector. I like to use the tail for stability and these Stentons, as much as I love the sight of them, have relatively small stub tails, which, with my big hands makes it difficult to manoeuvre. Plus, it was a wedge and I really prefer hollow grounds these days. Yours looks pristine though and almost as if it was reground more hollow? Cheers.

Yes, thing is really heavy. A bit of challenge to use.
The solid collars and bone scales really tightened things up, helping considerably.
It was a Masonic in bad condition. I hand-sanded it for over a year, on and off.
It surely arrived to be more hollow. Very nice bevel!
