I am now extremely happy with the finish on this edge and it will require no more fine tuning. This was one of those perfect one pass WTG shaves where the shave is so close and comfortable that there is no need to do another pass. My Moss scuttle was warm but it did not get used. I am glad that Ivo did not put more time into honing and fine tuning this razor, because then I know that I would not have it right now.

Nah, I am keeping the Tiffany's Engstrom frameback and I need to reduce head count so it had it coming, one way or another. I have had it for a while and was never motivated enough to fine-tune it... Anyway, every once in a while I will sell even 10+/10 shavers - some people know

    Cheers

forgot to say: I am glad you like it so much

Result: 4.2/5.0 Still healing up bottom of nexk but I got close to BBS. Used the The Shave Den Bergamot Shave Soap for the first time and the Floid Italian Aftershave. First impressions of the soap are very good. Lathered quickly, nice subtle scent, good quality lather with slickness, cushion and moisturizing. The Floid Italian aftershave is a very nice. Now, I wonder what the Spanish and Blue are like. Oh well.

I was giving this razor a test shave before it goes up for sale with my next batch of shave ready razors. This one took longer to hone than I would have liked because of the oxidized and chipped steel (which is the strong German variety) at the edge, but it was well worth the extra effort. First pass was good and close, but I gave it 25 light passes on my small narrow Escher (Thanks Ivo!) to improve the glide of the razor a little. Stropped again 50 passes and got the feel that I was looking for on the second and final pass. Awsome shave; close, smooth, and comfortable.

I am also really loving my new Rooney brush. It is much stiffer than my other brush (B&B finest) and I like the way that it allows me to really work the lather into my whiskers without the floppyness. On a side note it also fits into my small Moss Scuttle better than the bigger brush with less lather overflow.

Result: 4.5/5.0 Near BBS with healing up nice. One bad spot left. This was a concervative setup because I was going to the dentist this morning and I didn't want screw it up. I used the Treet Blade instead of the Feather because that is what I had in the razor from before. It still does not cut as smooth as I'd like and this is the 3rd blade I've tried.
