So I gather this a pattern with a good chance of cell rot?

This must be a newer formula such as in cellulose acetate vs older/flammable nitrocellulose (gun cotton).
I was told of an old Case scale building made with a hinged roof. An explosion would blow the sides back and they could just close them again.
Great shape and seems stable. I have had it for many years.
The older ones just crumbled a long while back. Shame
