    Default SOTD - 21/4/08

Started off using King of Shaves pre-shave oil which I bought just earlier. 5/6 Drops covered my whole face and neck area.

I also bought some Glycerine in a small bottle.

Mixed up some Highlander Colleens finest soap on the brush (ample) then added some proraso cream to my shaving bowl including 4 drops of Glycerine.

Stropped up my razor and proceded to shave.

The glide was one of the best Ive had and will be experimenting further to see which variable is causing the better and more smoother shaving. i.e. either the Glycerine or the KOS oil.

    Will report back with updates.

    P.S.

I also had a look into Mantics 'Superlather' or uberlather, whichever you prefer. I'm not all that convinced it is actually a new discovery but moreso sway to the thoughts that it is just a product of using more cream i.e. Soap + Cream = A lot of soap. Which of course produces much more lather anyway.

    You decide..

    Update : Day 2

Shaved with same method but only used KOS Oil under a normal lather.

Results - an improved shaved but not quite as good as yesterday. Still very very close though. Also a possiblilty that the razor I used yesterday was a little sharper as she's not long off the hone. (2 weeks to be exact)

The razor I used today is about 8 weeks old (i.e. honed 8 weeks ago)

Day 3 will test using only Glycerine without KOS oil.

    We continue...
