    Cool Mon, Dec 28th Shave

This was a good shave...had plenty of stubble to cut. The Henckel's INOX was wickedly sharp and made the shave very pleasurable.

Prep>>Hot shower and Proraso Pre/post shave cream
Razor>> Henckels INOX 7/8 spanish point stropped 40/40 webbed fabric then red latigo on a three inch SRD strop.
    Brush>>Omega silver tip badger
    Soap>>Proraso soap (green tube)
    Astringent>>Thayers
    AS>>Pinaud Clubman

    Result>>BBS...shave on.

Background music: Bach-violin concerto number 1. Third movement.

    Cool

    Otto,

That's a nice looking Martinez custom you have there. He also make brushes with other chess pieces as handles...if you get them, let us enjoy some pictures. Thanks for the post.

    Default First real post SOTD

Noon today: spent the morning with DVR and Law & Order reruns

    24 hr growth

Pre shave: Hot shower...Camay Soap on the face

Face Prep / Soap: Rooney Small Finest and an old Crabtree & Evelyn Bowl Soap (got to finish it sometime) in a nickel shave bowl -- I was not unhappy with the lather

Shave: Dovo 5/8...don't exactly know the model...carbon steel, blond wood scale, good sharp...my favorite for now...favorites change often, go figure...w, x, a. Good shave -- means a good day.

Post shave: cold water, alum block (some sting, need a touch on razor?), semi dry, cold water, T&H 1815 Balm.

    Heaven.
