thx, Bruce.
I use and collect this pipes for more than 20 years.
Most pipe-smokers don't keep their pipes clean.
A used pipe need some time to keep dry.
Stay tuned I have some more!

Great BBS shave this morning! A lot of newbies this morning. First time using the La Toja Shaving Cream and first time using the Semogue Boar brush. This introduced a lot of variables into the observations I have been doing on the shave creams but since these observations are "reality based" rather than a laboratory based examination it still gave me an unbiased experience to determine if I experienced the cushion and glide factors. Using the new Semogue Boar brush for the first time, it didn't do the lathering ability of the La Toja cream justice but the SC did lather very well. I normally use a badger brush with creams but I wanted to use the new boar. At any rate the boar didn't absorb the heat of the scuttle as efficiently as a badger would have and therefore the lather was only lukewarm when applied to the face. (All this is to be expected with a new boar brush than hasn't been broken in yet.) I liked the feel of the Semogue Boar very much and it's initial softness was very assuring that this brush will be an excellent shaving tool for my shave den. The La Toja shaving cream has the same amount of cushion as I experienced in the Musgo Real. The glide was adequate, allowing easy strokes without hesitation or drag. The lather started to dry a little by the end of the first pass but that was due to the new boar brush not holding the water as well as a badger brush would. The La Toja has enough cushion for a close and very comfortable three pass shave and it will be a regular part of my rotation from now on. The scent of the La Toja is very pleasant and this SC is very reasonably price. I would recommend this SC to anyone who wants a reasonably price good performing Cream. http://www.theshaveden.com/forum/ima...s/happy005.gif

Usually TOBS Avocado is part of my rotation, but there it sat unused for more than a month. So I felt sorry for it and whipped up a great lather. Two passes and some touch up for a DFS.
Great pics guys!

Thanks. It was a very nice shave this morning. I have several Dubl Ducks and like them all. The Wonderedge and Special #1 are my favorites right now.
Thanks, Mark & Bruce. Max does great work with his scales.
Thanks Chris...do you feel a difference say between Satinedge, Goldedge, Wonderedge and special #1? Just curious to see if there are subtle variations in any of them besides just the name. I, personally, don't differentiate between the Goldege and #1...they are equally good, to me. It could be my "not so mature" discrimination of str8 edges ...I would appreciate a more experienced point of view.

Robert, I'm by no means an expert on the subject. I will say that I have each of the ones you mention and don't find an appreciable difference in them, especially not a difference that prices seem to indicate. I will note that most of mine have been rescaled due to lack of original scales, therefore I can't compare the razors from that perspective. I'm sure there are some true experts on here that can give you some actual differences between them. I tend to prefer the shave of the Wonderedge and Special #1 by a slight bit. For me, the shave is the bottom line and I haven't found an significant difference between them.
Happy birthday grump. May you have many more as well as many more wonderful shaves with that beautiful shaving kit.

The edge is a bit rough because I am a beginner in honing, but I enjoy the coticule a lot,... Every time I use it, I learn to improve the honing a little because the feeling of the stone, I hope my honing skills will be better for the next razor.
I use the dilucot, a progressive honing system with coticule and slurry, thanks Mr. Bart , your lessons are an excellent resource for the coticule users :beer1:

I shave every morning, but yesterday I can't upload the pic until the evening,...sorry, sometimes it happens
The coti is perfect for me, with one stone I can keep my razors sharp. But I am still learning, I know good masters, as Bart, Ralfy,....and Esteban the spanish dealer of Ardennes Coticule, they have teached me very well about the coticule.
I can get a sharpedge easily, but I am trying to improve the sharpness and the smoothnes of the edge.
