Good morning Gentleman!
Today I tested my new Feather (together with my fabulous Wade & Butcher)
soap: Thiers Issard
brush: Muehle
ASB: Nivea Cool Kick
Inspired by some articles I ordered this Feather and I realized, this item works very well with the really sharp DE-blades by Feather.
But I think I love my straight razors much more.
Have a nice day and please... give me not so much thanks...no more comments...

I used the upside down soap tecnique today, holding the soap jar upside down and loading with the brush upwards. Best result ever when face lathering, for me.

C'mon Tom...you can't let a few concerns by other members about the "# of thanks" set you back ;). I am sure the moderators will fix that issue. I urge you to comment and keep posting...I for one, really enjoy every SOTD post I read...including yours.
So, as Ralfy likes to say: "shave on my friend"...:beer1:
And keep posting and sharing (and commenting) about SOTD :tu
Pre-Shave: Hot shower + fresh lemon Razor: 6/8" Dubl Duck Special #1, Full Hollow, Spike Point Strop: SRD Premium IV (50 linen/75 leather) Brush: 24mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger Überlather: CarrieM Bay Rum Shave Creme + Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap + Glycerin Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer AS Splash: Spanish Blue Floïd (sample) Result: The little Duck came knocking. Absolutely amazing shave!!! BBS feeling in 3 passes. As part of the continuing chapter in my experimentation with cremes/soaps, I mixed CarrieM's creme with some MWF soap and a little Glycerin...Like yesterday, the resulting lather was awesome (surprise :D)...thick, super moist and ultra slick. (Subjectively), I felt like this formulation was better able to retain its original moisture and slickness (and for for longer) compared to just glycerin or tallow/lanolin cremes/soaps. A mix of Trumper's moisturizer with a few drops of Spanish Blue Floïd AS splash was all that was needed to finish things up.

HAVE A GREAT THURSDAY GUYS !
Oh my what a great shave this morning...
I started of this morning shave with one of my favorite Uberlather(s)..
I have named this one in the past as it was one of my first and still one of the best..
English Garden
Castle Forbes Lavender cream
Taylor of Old Bond Street Lavender soap
5 drops of Glycerin
This is one of the most creamy, luxurious, lathers, you can put on your face..
I used my restored Old Spice brush with a 24mm Silvertip knot, and my favorite lather bowl :D
The razor is a full hollow Wade & Butcher *Special* incredible shavers and one of my only two Sheffield blades that I keep in the rotation...
Stropped up a bit extra today since I haven't used this razor in months 50-75 on the SRD Premium 1...
A single WTG pass really was all I needed, but I wanted to use more of the lather so I did did a XTG followed by a ATG :)
Ended the shave with some TOBS Bay Rum ..
Gotta love shaves like this..

Have a Great Day !!!!
Oh and BTW
Thank You all for making SOTD one of the best parts of this forum...
You misunderstood me, I would say:
I give no comment to the opinion of some members, we have more "thanks" than articles.
I is beyond my control, how much members give my articles a "thanks" or not!
That's it!
I still awaiting the new themed SOTD, Max.
In the themed SOTD we can show the forum our competence.

My travel kit. I honed this Hellberg frameback just before I left on this trip, and while I found the edge lacking somewhat, I pulled through with a pretty good shave, no nicks or cuts, thanks in part to the Yardley Lavender shave stick, And the l'occitane travel brush and Cade shave balm. Hey Max, I might need you to help me push this razor that extra RCH into sharpness bliss land. Get the pool ready!

The Filly's are definitely everything they are cracked up to be and in my opinion, worth the price they are going for. I have to get my hands on a #13, but just can't justify it right now as I like the way this #12 shaves so much.
Didn't have time to post this morning...

Nice, smooth shave.
Time to break out the Golden Edge for Friday's one pass shave::beer2:
Oil for the smoothness, aqua for the burn, and AOS for the healing..
After viewing some incredible photographs from many folks that post in the SOD thread, I have some questions:
Do you prepare the content of the photo in a place other than your shave den or bathrooom? Also, is it done during another part of your day or just while you are doing your daily routine?
There are some really great photo's and I was wondering if they are carefully prepared or just "off the cuff" stuff.
Thanks
In the morning I prepare my stuff in the bathroom or the kitchen- at first for the photography- sometimes with a tripod, sometimes with a flash (not directly flash!). Sometimes I also use different backgrounds.
If the photography is taken, I post it and get my shave. And sometimes I post it after the shave.
It is very different.
If I still planing a special effect- it is a little bit more work.
But I enjoy this routines.
Taking a picture- shaving-posting.
BTW: it is very comfortable for me, my office is in the house.
Pre: Hot shower
Razor: Klas Törnblom 185
Brush Ikon chubby 24 mm silvertip
AS: Dr Harris Sandalwood
Strop: Neil Miller
Result: Clean
Used the upside down soap jar routine today aswell and it´s an excellent way of face lathering, really. I wanted to use the most dense brush I´ve got and it loaded up nicely within 20 secs and it gave lather for 2 passes + touch ups and then some (I have very soft water).
you're welcome! It's a pleasure to me.
