I really like the scales on this razor. Your photo today reminded me of Pirates of the Caribbean 2, I was thinking that Davy Jones' heart is lurking in the soap dish. Very nice composition, feels very nautical :tu

Well I've been playing around with hones to get an idea of where my new JNat fits it. Took this razor which had a JNat edge prior and put an escher edge on it. NOTICEABLY Sharper and smooth. Not sure what to take from this yet and at the moment will call my JNat in the range of a coti finish. I have a lot more experimenting to do as when I first got my escher I couldn't get a better edge than a coti till I got to fully know how to use my stone. Tired of shaving with this razor and will have to move on to a new one. Going to try finishing first again with a coti as my baseline on the new razor and then try my JNat with just water only and no slurry. Fun studies!
