Thanks, Max. I'm around. Been on a bit of a DE kick that last few months, but I'm sure I'll be back to my straights soon.

Thank you, Mikael. I couldn't resist using the Tornblom again today!

Bahratul Baydha is an attar. The seller's website describes it thus:
    Bahratul Baydha
    (New Batch)
A subtle trio of Taifi Rose, Isparta Rose and White Bulgarian Rose in a base of Ambergris with an extended dry down of Indian Karnataka Sandalwood and White Musk. Extremely intoxicating and long lasting!

Sounds nice, the Bahratul and itīs a sweet shaver (+ Neil put a very nice edge on it to start with).

Well this is the setup for this evenings shave. I need to post more in here and just always forget to snap a picture.

This may be the best steal of a deal I've ever got on eBay. Talk about timing in looking at new auctions. This Duck was listed with 4 other Solingen razors (all in very good condition) for a BIN of $100. Let's just say I hit that button faster than ever. The seller couldn't believe I wanted old barber's razors and proceeded to offer me a lot of old barber's clippers

The only problem with the duck is some slight gold wash wear where the razor pivots in the scales (scales are pretty tight). I really can't wait!

    Nice pictures everyone!

I like the Bahratul--thought it's quite pricey. If you're interested, I can forward the link to the merchant. I received a very small decant (literally drops), otherwise I'd send you a taste myself.

I'm impressed with Neil's honing job, but I also think the blade itself is just very well made!

Again, thank you Bill (LegalBeagle) for the Le Labo Rose sample. Of the three Le Labo fragrances I have tried, this is #1.

Glad you're liking it, Frank! The real question, though, is what is your fiance's favorite?
