Fiancee is waffling on whether she likes this a/s or not. Some days she does, some she doesn't. I like it a lot but she keeps changing her vote :)
The cheap brush I have works great for hard soaps but it's a dog for creams.
Once again, the black king makes me go "oooh" and gives me every bit as good a shave as my "top" razors (revisor, dubl duck, W&B etc) without being all flashy. Between this razor, the tuckmar and the gencos I'm becoming a big fan of american-made razors.

Penhaligon Blenheim Bouquet
The little Neistrom shaves surprisingly well indeed. It doesn't quite tackle my goatee area with the aplomb of my 7/8ths and 8/8ths blades, but it was surprisingly close. It's plenty sharp enough, but the lower mass made the blade more prone to submarining. It made it though the shave without needing some stropping which is a feat only the Friodur's have pulled off so far.
I don't know if this is common for the sub-5/8ths blades, but this thing is like a 9/10ths scale razor, it's very petite in all dimensions -- the blade is only 2 3/4 inches long, and from tip to tail is just over 5 inches.
