HAPPY B-DAY MATT!! :mexwave:
It's pouring down like it's the tropics here this morning.
I'll be staying inside, working on some honing I guess:)
Pre-Shave: A long, warm shower Brush: Simpson Polo 12, two band Super badger Razor:Juan Vollmer, Palmera #14, black scales, spike point Strop: Kanayama #90000, tri strop Soap/Cream: Truefitt & Hill 1805 Shaving cream Astringent: Thayer's Medicated Super Hazel After shave Balm: Truefitt & Hill 1805 EdT: Truefitt & Hill 1805 Results: Ah yes, a very nice and smooth shave. The Palmera razors are very similar to Filarmonica DT, they take a great edge very easily. Good stuff:)

Enjoy your day, Gentlemen.
Don't recall this one ever being tallow-based, but you could easily mistake as so: the lather is really thick once you get used to it! Yep, definitely waaaaayyyy less lanolin than MWF. The Creed is very gentle on my face these days whereas the MWF caused me a lot of irritation even before the blade touched my face!
Oh no!!! MUST RESIST the temptation!!!! Might need to start another fund again to finance another MdC purchase...
Yup, a real b€€-@ch!! Must have been in there for two weeks or something and oooohhhh yes so satisfying!

My mother pulled me to the side to show me something she had found while throwing out some old stuff!
The last time I layed eyes on this wee chap was in the 70s while learning to shave. Also learnt how sharp razor sharp was!!
As I write this my hones, even my pasted strop, are at the other side of the country!
Considering that this Gotta hasn't seen the light of day for 35 plus years 50 or so laps on the Latigo produced a shave with just a little hint of tugging.
A nice wee razor...............but wee. 7/16 Grand for under the nose etc but if I hadn't shaved for a day or two this is not the razor to turn to!
Wow Rene, its beautiful. You cant be good all the time.
Congratulations on that great find. It looks to be in great condition.
No shave for me again tonight, got carried away with some honing and I'll have to get to bed soon.
I'll have a nice 3 day growth shave tomorrow night.
Thanks for all the great posts guys.
