Hi Robert,
Thanks for your welcome, it is the first of many posts here no doubt :)
This razor is in fact Eric's (HNSB on the forums) work, and even though it's a little small it just really appealed to me - I'm sure you understand :)
Kind regards

Thank you Henry! I snaged it in a trade :D The guy I traded with had bought it NOS directly from Thiers at a fair last year.
Thans Robert! That´s exactly what I did too, but I still had to be very light on the hand.
Well done Paddy and a warm welcome to the SOTD bros on SRP :D!!
Pre: Strong black coffee and a hot shower
Brush: Simple badger
SC: D.R. Harris “Arlington”
Hardware: Muhle R89
Blade: Feather
Post: Truefitt & Hill 1805 Aftershave balm
Notes: My first test run with a feather blade and ... man that blade is sharp. Combined with the Harris soap there was no friction at all just smoooooooooth pure whisker elimination.
Gentlemen: Have a nice saturday

Today I revisited where I started, with my Humble Tech. And the shave, my brothers, was good, I need to place it back into the rotation. With so many razors in the collection it has been easy to overlook this very basic well made shaving machine.
Robert, those are beautiful scales. I'm drooling. I have a couple of razors that I bought from Robert Doyle, originally from the Henry T. Lummus collection that would honor scales of that beauty. I think a Maxterpiece or two may be in my future. As always your photo's are phenomenal.
Good evening Gentlemen!
We had a nice saturday here, even had a bit of the old sun today.
Shave prep: Face wash
Brush: Omega boar # 81052
Soap: Van der Hagen / Speick shave cream / glycerine
Razor: Klas Törnblom 9/16 french point in ivory scales
Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Witch hazel with rose, sandalwood and vetiver
Notes: The uberlather and my barber's hone saved my shave tonight. I love this little thing, but it needs to see Mr Sharp before next dance. I have been so influenced by the constand praise of rose scents here lately, and with the rose in today's picture I decided there could not be a better opportunity to to dig out my witch hazel rose vetiver blend. It sure smells great. Needed 3 passes, but achieved a fine BBS with no irritation.

Hope I did not go too wild with the editing today :)
Enjoy your weekend guys!
Oh by the way - I was able to retrieve no less than 4 lost family heirlooms today - a thiers-issard, a le grelot gold medaille, a 7/8 swede and a french blade. Funny thing, I didn't even know we were family till I told them :tu
I totally get it P.
PS: Eric does have some great stuff indeed
Johan,
It just can't get any better than that. Great shave
Konstantinos,
What a wonderful array of fabulous products for today. Excellent
David,
it's always great going to the root of where and when it started. Well done.
Thank you David,
I am sure Max will do wonders to your Lummus blades.

I had no intention of shaving today since I slammed my left hand, and I am left handed, in a Little Giant Ladder yesterday. Nothing broke, ice, ice, ice and this morning it was a bit swollen but nothing appeared broke.
I came home this afternoon and in the mail was this little beauty I picked up from Grant. Well, that changed everything so I ran upstairs and showered and shaved. What a great razor. The pictures don't do it justice (mine or Grants). Grant did great job on this razor and I am thrilled to have it.
Thanks Grant, I hope you like the back drop. It too means a lot to me, I have it 37 years and it was a gift from my Great Grand Father.
