Great shave Frank. Beautiful Engels. Gotta love this blade. How do you rate the TOBS Rose (I mean compared to other Roses)?

Well Adept...That pretty much sums it all up. Well said
Not surprising Mike, considering that this beauty is named after a cat, LOL. They always deliver. Fabulous gear today
Thank you my friend. How was the weekend celebration. I bet your mom had a great time with family around...or was it just you?
Jack,
It certainly feels like the Genco "Sealed" the deal
Wowww Dominic,

I so like seeing the shaves you all put together even when I'm out for work etc. I find I'm smooth enough from a night shave to last most of the day as long as it's not my military work. I'm hoping for a very special SOTD on Monday so be ready for something Special!!!

It's good to be home. I actually got here Friday eve but between trying to put things away and trying to figure out where my mom moved things I've been a little preoccupied. I think the only thing that would have made this better would have been to turn the lather into a cold water shave (it's been warm enough here in PDX the last couple days for it).
Take care and keep the shaves coming

I think this blade size is ideal for me. Second time I shave with this beauty - the first time it was my third or fourth straight shave, if I remember correctly. I had ended up with a couple of major weepers, the blade was freshly restored and honed by Neil so her being tack sharp and with my technique still trying to find its whereabouts I just could not let her touch my face without suffering any damage...
Today no problems, a sweet and effortless shave, a lovely blade overall and much more smooth and forgiving that I would have expected. First time with the Tabac after more than a year, very nice as also is of course the Floid Suave after shave locion.
Have a great day and keep those great SOTDs coming from all over the world!

It possesses a wonderful woody/earthy aroma and makes such a luxurious a moisturizing lather. The shave was nothing short of divine!

Yep, thats the missus. That pic was taken about 3 years ago. We have an annual charity event here called The Worlds Greatest Shave where people shave their heads to raise money for the Leukemia foundation. The irony is she did that about a year before Jacky was diagnosed.
Beautiful pic of the Wosty Pipe yesterday too.
Ahhhh crap man, I'm SO sorry to hear that terrible news.
Love that Buddel Tom, Its one of the best looking razors I've seen
Very glad to hear your home mate.
Didn't manage to get a shave myself tonight but I'm sure I'll have one for you guys tomorrow night.

Rene,
I am so sorry to hear about your friend. This is the worst kind of news one can receive. This couldn't come at a worst time, especially in light of the latest research from Univ. of Pennsylvania that indicates a group of researchers having succeeded in devising a new treatment for leukemia. Doctors have treated only three leukemia patients, but the sensational results from a single shot could be one of the most significant advances in cancer research in decades. The treatment made the most common type of leukemia completely disappear in two of the patients and reduced it by 70 percent in the third. In my mind, this is still too early to make a judgement call, but it definitely is off to a great start. Unfortunately, by the time this becomes a widespread and approved treatment modality, it'll take years and the target was the most common form of the cancer, chroniclymphocytic leukemia (CLL), which if I remember is not what your friend has.
My thoughts and prayers are with your friend and his family (and you buddy).
Beautiful blades Rene and a great shave, but sorry about it being rushed.
I know what you mean...So, do I. it is sort of weird when you tell people who use cartridges this. They look at you funny, LOOOL. But hey, who cares, right? Once they try wetshaving, they will understand. Great piece of steel today buddy
Probably a Pipe, LOOOL??!!
Tom,
What a great way to start the week indeed.
Yahooooo!!!!! Welcome back home Michael. I bet that shave hot the spot.
Ahhhhh!! The Filarmonica. That's one of the best steels ever made. Congrats on getting a great shave from her Konstantinos. Neil did a great job with the restore. Of course, I can vouch for the quality of his linen strops (and I am sure his leathers are up to par as well)
Nice Italian theme you got going for today Otto.
BIUUUUTIFUUUL razor amb
Yeah...Mr Salamander is the centerpiece of your photos. Thank you for the kind words about the scales. They are more beautiful up close and personal and Wosties are amazing indeed.
Birnando,
That is every wetshavers prerogative. Beautiful shave for sure
Bill,
Wonderful shave to start the party this week. Well done bro
Great stuff Mikael. Love that DI and the CS Indian Sandalwood is one of the best cremes out there...and of course: Viva Mr. Salamander for supervising such a great cast of characters.
Adept,
Beautiful Pipe indeed. Who can blame you for loving her the way you do. Well done and enjoy your day off.
What a super shave GI...every aspect of it is a winner in my book
Ahhhh...You guys look like such a happy couple. I love it. Great team and fabulous story with the head shaves.
Thanks mate

I received some CADE from Mvcrash on Saturday as a very kind follow up to the sample he sent me earlier. I replaced a shaving brush knot for him on a handle that had broken (Mvcrash your new brush handle is in the pic. It'll be in the mail today :)
This was my 2nd shave with one of my newly rescaled Bengall blades. Its a near wedge and I am still in need of honing practice with those. I'll give her a few more passes on the coticule before the next shave.
I'll say a prayer for your friend Rene. Very sorry for that bad news.

Have a wonderful week guys!
Beautiful photo Robert, and a absolute stunner of a razor, I have always been a huge fan of anything made by Japanese craftsmen, i'm going to commit and say this is my favourite razor, but I do have the option of changing my mind when you post another shave of the day.
Regards Jamie. ;)

Not as good as Godrej shaving cream, but still quite good for the price, the Arko allowed the Gotta to give me a nice two pass shave. It handles well and does a great job after the first pass so i hardly needed a touch up. And today will be better than yesterday.

Amazing razor, though a bit hard to hone. My photo makes the words on the spine look weird, but it doesn't look like that really... :)
