Nice shave this evening which made my rotten day better. I really enjoy shaving with this Boker. I picked it off of Ebay for 12 bucks and it was the first one I honed from the bevel through to the finish. It provides a comfortable, smooth, close shave. I was thinking of sending it off to have it cleaned up and rescaled but there is something about the patina I like on this one.

My arms were shot after martial arts class, making this a difficult shave. Thankfully my previously damaged hamstring wasn't too bad after a 3 month lay off, but I have a new fragrance.http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs70/f/20...l_e-dugsnq.gif

I've used tiger balm but it is just a bit too hot for me. Washing hands before using the loo is a must.

Today's shave was tremendous (6 pm EST) I just cracked open my last puck of Col. Conk's Almond, and the scent, OOOHHHH the scent. I remember reading somewhere that U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower was a big fan of Almond shave products, and I can say I honestly understand why. I used my AoS Silvertip for whippin' up that lather, and was very pleased. The best part was the Clubman Classic Vanilla.
Jhenry,
That may very well have been where I read that, so thanks for the heads up. From what I understand, CM shave creams aren't all that great. I didn't know they made shave soaps though, I may want to try one. Almond is pretty kick-ass if I may say so. I haven't used Col. Conk since I first started wetshaving, so to be able to revisit a puck was definitely nice.
lirijavdekje,
If you want some kick a** almond shaving soap, get some RazoRock "Classic." The RazoRock shaving products have been getting rave reviews here.
I have a jar of their artisan soft soap in "Napoleon's Violet" and am in love with it.
Is it anything like cella? I've never purchased from RasoRock, though I heard their XXX soap is great.

I've been shaving with the same razor for 8 days now. I think it needs some help. Lots of tug and drag. 2 passes and still stubble and my face began burning. I had to finish with the DE. That added to the burn. I tried the wash and alum, and every time the alum lit me up! Ok experiment over. I have had enough of the same razor every day. Sally let me down today and must be shelved until honing day arrives!
Happy Shaves Men!!!!

Tuesday
In the middle of painting the bedroom (a hateful, vile task) SWMBO came home with the La Toja shaving cream which has been all of one month in transit. It looked terrible after its journey, but behaved well.
The combination of the Klas Törnblom for the first pass and the Mühle R 89 for the second ATG pass on three days’ growth left me very happy.
