After a day in bed sick, I needed this shave badly! I hadn't even felt like shaving before work (all 2 hours prior to leaving to come home) yesterday so I was sporting a full four days growth. This was my first use of the RazoRock XXX - what great stuff! The lather was moist and luxurious and the scent was wonderful. The Dovo slid through the stubble like nobodies business and two passes (plus touch ups) later, I'm BBS and ready to make up for lost time yesterday...

lirijavdekje,
You don't have to purchase RazoRock from RazoRock. It's available from several online vendors. PM me and I can give you their urls.
As for the consistency...Its a bit like Cella, but imho its softer than Cella and whips into a lather somewhat easier.

Result:I apologize for my absence over the last week. I got into a bit of a funk when my High School band director passed away. He was so much more than a teacher to myself and so many others, he was a mentor and someone who taught me more about life than just about anyone. I went to his visitation 1 week ago, then went back to my high school for homecoming on Friday. I hadn't been back there in 16 years, hadn't seen many of my fellow band mates in the same time. It was humbling to see the lives that he touched. Sunday, I played guitar at church for both morning services. My cell phone rang (on silent mode) at the start of 2nd service while I was on stage and I wasn't able to answer it. I checked my voicemail as soon as I was done playing and learned that my Grandmother had just passed away. It was very difficult to finish playing at the end of church, but I made it through. I just struggled for the last week with keeping me together, much less posting, or even looking at the SOTD. I honestly think I was avoiding anything that might make me feel happy. I had shaves, they weren't memorable shaves, just going through the motions shaves. Today I felt a bit better, put on some “Blood, Sweat, & Tears” (my band directors influence) and really enjoyed my shave. I've got quite a few SOTD posts to read and I can say that I am looking forward to that (Thank God the cloud has passed)Today and Tomorrow's shaves are dedicated to the memory of my friend and Mentor & my Grandmother.
Glenn
Hey guys,
Wife and I got back from a business/pleasure trip to Vegas...I am pretty tired and haven't had the opportunity to check out all that I have missed, but a quick scan tells me that I've missed quite a bit. So, allow me to say this:
WELL DONE GENTS
Attachment 79595I've truly missed the brotherhood
Bill: sounds like you had a pretty nasty case of the cold/flu bro. Hope you feel better
Glenn: I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Teacher and grandmother. My wife and I's hearts are with you and your family brother. Please accept our sincerest condolences.
____________
Cheers,
Robert

Locale: The house of dull razors Music: Los Lonely Boys - Almost Heaven Prep: Hot Shower / Greek Authentic Olive Oil Soap / Virgin Olive Oil Rub Razor: Fredrick Reynolds full Wedge in Micarta / Bockla 26 Hones: 3" chestnut leather 25/50 before 15/20 after Brush: Custom Silvertip in American Ash Post: Cold Water Splash - Alum - Tend Skin Uber: Sir Irisch Moos Creme AS: AOS After Shave Balm Edt: Black Leather Result: I just got this Reynolds from Douglas Cutlery. It arrived yesterday, but I was still working on my Salamandar. I was so burned up from the Salamandar shave yesterday, that I could barely make it all the way through one pass with my new razor. I was a little concerned though. It would pop hair off my arm no problem, but on my face it didn't seem to do anything. I had my Bockla that Roy honed on hand, just in case, and I put it to use almost immediately. I'm not sure I know how to shave with a full wedge like this. Another new experiment!! I hope my face heals quickly, I need a good shave.
Happy Shaves Men!!!!

What's that little person you have there Tom? Looks like some kind of autum harvest fairy, I like her a lot, hope to be seeing a lot more of her, but I do miss the old man Yoda.
Regards Jamie
Yoda is the supervisor of the 10 trucks that will bring our Euros to Greece.
And yes this little person will honoring the autumn.
Wednesday
A military theme today, for a reason. It’s been about six months’ since I’ve been to the gym; normally I’m quite obsessive about it. The water bottle (just visible in the background) is my motivator. It’s the same water bottle I used as a Recruit Instructor when I used to join in my recruits’ Physical Training sessions, knowing I’d be treat ‘as a recruit’ by the Physical Training Instructors (i.e. no easy treatment) to demonstrate the whole “lead by example” thing.
I used to throw that bottle down with 48 others, and wager my pride, knowing I’d have to do better than or as good as all 48 in an even test.
Back when I was a recruit I learnt that all the things I thought I couldn’t do I actually could... IF someone else pushed me. It took me a little while to learn how to push myself.
I think when you’re young, and you overcome the mind, and realise the only thing stopping you is the physical limits of your body, it’s a happy moment...
Now I'm almost 50, it's the memory that's the motivator...

Your coffee photo's in the morning make my 7-11 coffee pale in comparison :)
Glenn I am very sorry for your losses. I can empathize with you. I lost three people this past March who were very dear to me, one being my grandmother and one being another woman I called Mom.
Godspeed my friend and if you need anything, don't hesitate to call.

Two days stubble removed effortlessly in two passes. Straight shaving has already started to become part of standard routine, mind or face does not really want to shave with something else at the moment - and I really like that.
Of course one would argue that on the other hand there has been an inclination by the undersigned to stick to 'Lexus' style of shaving :P lately, as I tend to use a lot either the AC RG or the new SS. May be it is because I oiled all my straights last night as part of getting ready for the moving company coming in this or early next week to take my belongings back home.
The Feather Light blade is a mighty little devil, two small visits by Mr. Nick this morning, so good enough to make me miss the ProGuards.
