Yeah, that's one sweet cup of coffee :D mine looks much more plain, this was yesterdays latte:

My new favorite shaving bowl. It has little bumps inside that help to quickly work up a great lather.

Saw the Pecksniff's outa the corner of my eye this morning. Sitting there, gathering dust, and looking right sorry for itself!
I'm glad I give it a wee outting. It's not great soap but on the other hand it's not bad either. Golden rule here is use plenty of product and........the New forest 2203 two band comes into it's own here. 2203 I hear you ask? It's a shorter lofted 2201 that Peter experimented with. There's not a soap in existence that this brush can't whip up into a usable lather!
Anyhooo I love the smell of it so I though to complete the experience a large splash of Old Spice.
A most enjoyable shave.
Good morning gentlemen.
Oscar.

I was recently chatting with another member when a newbie wandered into the room. He began asking questions about honing, and explained he'd bought an AOS TI, but it didn't seem to shave well. So, he'd bought himself a Norton 4k/8k and began attempting to rectify the problem. After much discussion, we finally convinced this young man to send his beloved new blade out to be honed properly. I volunteered to do the deed.
When it arrived, I saw that he had "wrecktified" the original problem. Unfortunately, it somehow had a double frown, so onto the Chosera 1k it went (complete with a thick slurry). Eventually, the edge straightened out and the bevel felt nice and even. So, I progressed to the 3k and the 10k till she was popping hairs nicely. Then, it was off to warm up the Oozuku. By the time the nagura was done, this thing was popping hairs across the room. So, today was a test shave - and it passed. A butter smooth edge that left me nice and clean in one pass...
The software was amazing. As you can see from the picture, I understand what every wetshaver knows: when you find a good product you can never be too prepared for coming shavepocalypse. And Al's Bomb certainly fits that category. It's especially good in this custom scented Turkish Rose and Sandalwood scent. The den smelled better than a harem and my skin is more moisturized than a regular visitor to a hamam. I am a happy man, and ready to tackle the work week!

Not bad, had issues with the lather again though. The Carrefour after shave is nothing extraordinary (it's around 3.20 Euro here) but in combination with the Vifrex gel it gives a nice after shave feeling few minutes later.

Well i have finally finished moving in, and finally got cable/internet up and running. So i needed a shave to top this glorious day off. So i took out the Wellington, and decided to use an uberlather of epic proportions. The Sandalwood made my skin soooo smooth, and refreshed. The Wellington took care of the 2 days growth I had. I missed it here, and Im glad to be back :) AWESOME LAST WEEK GUYS!!! WISH I COULD HAVE PARTICIPATED :( GREAT SHAVES TODAY AND YESTERDAY ALSO < HAVE A GREAT NIGHT!
The real shaving face scrub seems to be a nice prep doesn't it?
I also like the proraso after shave ... great scent and moisturizing feel afterwards.

I really love this short loft brush I put together from The Golden Nib. It has just the right degree of softness and great backbone. It works great on soaps and creams and really holds the lather. Very little work building the lather and suddenly I had enough on it for 5 or 6 passes.

Kalman Flaschner 7/8 | Shavemac Custom Silvertip | C&E Nomad + Jack Black + Glycerin | Gentlemen's Tonic + Knize 10 (vintage) | The Knize 10
What a way to start the day! The Jack Black/Nomad uber filled the den with the woody scent of the Nomad. And the lather was so thick and luxurious that I hardly felt the blade as it wiped my skin clean. A glorious BBS feeling, and the Knize just topped it off!
And, who can forget my little buddy who gladly gave his seal of approval to todays SOTD:
L'Occitane Verbena Hand Soap,
L'Occitane Cade SS,
Simpson Duke 3,
L'Occitane Alum Stone,
L'Occitan After Shave Balm.
http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/...Nov8th2011.jpg
Seems to be an all out L'Occitane shave this morning and who can blame me? Great stuff it is indeed!
My L'Occitane EdT ran out mid summer and I have been missing it badly so while exploring a small local gift shop I was thrilled to discover they are now doing some of the L'Occitane range! I went with the Balm this time as I haven't tried it before.
I was not disappointed!
