Sorry for :OT
Such a cute looking little friend you have there, dont you just love dogs, not just man's best friend but simply the best animal on the planet.
Here's a photo of my elderly Wirehaired Fox Terrier in his younger days now aged 14 but still looking good, if i'm honest I dont know what I would do without him.
Regards Jamie.

Razor: Dovo Best Quality 6/8
Brush: Omega Boar
Soap: Tabac
A/S: Master Topaz
Very good straight razor only shave today. I think I'm finally getting the hang of shaving my neckline! Master Topaz topped the shave off nicely.
Razor:F.W. Engels Special
Brush:Rooney Pure Badger
Cream:Palmolive Lemon + Handmade Naturals Frankincense Super Lather
AS:Thayers Lavender and Avon Spicy
Result:Decided to try a super lather with the Palmolive Lemon and the frankincense soap.Wasn't too sure how the two scents would work together, but to say the scent was intoxicating is a huge understatement.Could definitely stand to have a cologne or AS with this combo. The shave itself was nothing short of great. The Engels is always a pleasure to shave with.An all too short two pass CBS.Now it's time to go vote and later lose myself in some reading.Have a great day.

Prep: hot shower and lingering lather
Brush: Rooney Silvertip
Soap: Fitjar Såpekokeri Lighthouse bay rum
Razor: ERN 1166 Crown and Sword
Post: RazoRock alum, Thayer’s Lemon Witch Hazel
http://straightrazorpalace.com/membe...er-08-2011.jpg
I do like the way a heavy blade shaves... The ERN1166 had been waiting to be honed for a while, and in the end took two attempts (and probably could use a bit more refinement) to make it back into my shaving rotation. An easy two pass shave, cutting down 3 days beard with little effort.
Every time I lather up it gets a bit better, thicker, slicker and more cushion:D The Fitjar
bay rum is almost used up just I feel I am starting to get the most out of it:boohoo:
I do need to refine the edge and work on a comfortable (and confident) grip to venture into the ATG realm and a BBS shave. But until then I am happy with the results.
I hope to find the time to check out this week’s shaves, I am sure they are great and if not great at least good learning experiences.

All in All a good tuesday day off work shave!
Blew out of here this morning without logging my SOTD.
Prep: Hot Shower, Baby Oil Gel
Razor: Texas Shumate
Brush: Omega Boar
Soap: VDH Deluxe
AS: Aqua Velva Classic
Finish: Agua Lavanda Puig
Great shave! This razor is right up there with my C.V. Heljestrand when it comes to maintaining a great edge and just feeling real good in your hands. Also one of the few razors in my collection that I can date with any real accuracy. Shumate moved to St. Louis in 1904. This says Shumate Razor Company, Austin, Texas right on the shank so it kind of narrows it down to somewhere between 1898 and 1904. I can only hope to be such a performer at 108 years old.
Anyway, off to the gym for a quick 3 mile run then the customary post workout shower beers. :beer1:
Late post today gents.

Have a nice day, friends
Wednesday
The Klas Törnblom was close to perfect today after 50 (yes, 50) laps on the Shapton 16k. Probably a little extreme, but I felt it needed it considering the hardness of the Swedish steel. The last 15 were really, really light. I tried holding the stone in my hand but I just can’t get the razor to glide evenly over the stone without the assistance of the other hand. The Body Shop Macca root was, as always, excellent and the scent, as always, lingered throughout the day, even with the AS over the top.
Pictured with one of my favourite cameras, the Agfa Record II 6x9 Medium Format, not to USE (that’s the ’53 Rolleicord) but to LOOK at. With the Agfa one needs to guess the distance and use ‘zone’ focusing. It also needs a hood to cut out lens flare and increase contrast. I’m thinking about getting into photography again, which was my obsession before this current obsession...
Cuff links of the day were 1940's Celluloid Basset Hound.

The blade on this razor never ceases to amaze me. It's like a laser in it's ability to cut through the stubble. The two band Thäter was also great as was the QED Sandalwood and the balm.
Great shave and hair trim.

Nice shave! I was good to go after one pass but did a second just for fun. The more I use this Speick, the more I like it. I may play with a few other shavesticks (i.e. Tabac, Irisch Moos, La Toja, etc.). Of course, I'm a big fan of Arko shavesticks as well. Have a great one fellas!
