I know how you feel, I removed mine this spring after about 14-15 years, SWMBO loved it, but it took me a while to get used to not having the "snot-stopper" now I'm not sure I'll ever grow it back :)

Ah those were the days! Don't know how many times today I reached out to stroke my prodigious flavor saver and felt only skin. This will definitely take some getting used to.
