Ahhh...what a nice shave from this razor. I think I might be figuring it out after having some less-than-comfortable shaves with it. Maybe I won't sell it, after all. Have a great week, SOTD Brothers!

Nice SOTD'S from all today, Men! Great Work!
A fine Sunday shave with a super "Tom's" razor, German made for Cogswell Labs in Lowell, Mass. Stropped up on Neil Miller leather and complemented by Razorock Limited edition, stirred by Thater. Stetson AS rounded off a fine Mother's Day shave!
Just the ticket as I darkened the doorway of the church for my daughter's confirmation! ;)
Happy, Healthy, and Productive week to all! AND a very Happy Birthday Bela! Enjoy!

Really Béla? You don't look a day over 29 :D

Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: Simpson Chubby 1 Razor: Brian Brown 8/8 Strop: 40/60 Neil Miller Linen/Kanayama Cordovan Soap: Intitute Karite After shave: Str8fencer's English Leather Results: Been feeling a bit under the weather the last few days, I've even stayed home from work (well really I just went home early..) and my facial growth have been left to live its own life a few days, so it was great (and very necessary) to shave today, the BB mowed down the beard effortlessly and left me with a smooth DFS ++ mug, and to top it up I used some of Str8fencer's home brewed English leather, man I love that aftershave!!!!

Fantastic three pass today with nothing but Sticky smooth zero irritation. 2 WTG 1 ATG. Lather was spot on and smelled great. Too bad I spent most of the day working on Army stuff but found 2 hours to lay out by the pool and 1 hour to do knife work. I still have an old razor waiting to by honed but it will have to wait some.
Long work week followed by Army Weekend will leave little time to play.
Great start to the week!!!

Cool photo and cool razor; it looks a little wedgy-ish
Cool! You've got one of those shaving travel box things. I always thought of getting one and shaving while camping, but never have...
Wow, that razor is INSANE!
Monday
Three hundred and forty three days of straight razor shaving and my shaves are suddenly getting better by simply concentrating on the grain. I don’t want to put a number on it but I reckon concentrating on the grain is a huge contributor to the overall result. Of course, the sharpness of the Wiener Schaber and the creaminess of the cream helped.
Lets’ see if Mikael can desist from giggling and posting a school boy joke about ‘wieners’. I’ll take bets he can’t… :-)

P.S. Bela sorry that I'm late, but still Happy Birthday! May all your wishes come true!
DE day, one more time...I guess.
Prep:Shower/ Noxema
Brush: Thater 4125-2
Scuttle: G5
Soap: Proraso SS
Razor: 1962 Gillette Slim/ Merkur blade
Post: Proraso/ Nivea lotion unscented
Result: DFS, still not impressed with a DE, but better when I set it on '5'. It's not that it's a bad shave, it's just not a straight shave...with a straight I am smooth until bedtime, DE only makes it to about 6.
Way to pull out all the stops Munroe, congrats on SOTD!
