I can't say enough about how much I love the DB. This was a second run with the MNS sample... and I can't wait for him to get it back in stock.

Result: Absolutely outstanding in every way! Ever have one of those shaves where everything just falls in place and the shave just couldn't be better if you dreamed it? Well that was me today. Great Tunes too.

Last day of what I call my holidays, which actually consists of few holiday activities; though the camping was fun. The shave (at 13:45) was prompted by someone getting me talking about my army days, I wasn’t going to shave today; but I talked about obsessions (cleaning boots) which lead my thoughts to dress inspections before mounting guards, etc, which of course relates to the quest for the GDS shave.
I got close to a GDS shave today, though really if I wanted to be sure I didn’t get extra duties I’d be following it up with a DE touch up on the neck. The razor was almost a perfect combination of smooth and sharp; something I was talking about somewhere here recently.
After shave was a liberal application of Pinaud Clubman. It had just the right amount of sting.
Loved the O Melhor cream, top cream in my opinion, pity I'm going anti SLFs.

Today's shave was a little late in the day due to working on the house all day... :( BUT!! what a wonderful end to the day...
Razor 8/8 Westenton & Son - freshly cleaned, sanded, buffed and honed.
Soap - a slice of Old Spice Original, VDH, Tabac, and Col. Conk soaked all day. HUGE lather!!
Brush - 24mm Silvertip in Vintage Honey Locust Custom WillN Handle
AS - Aqua Velva Blue Ice
EdT - Drakkar Noir
Man does this razor deliver. The Westenton is a very old stub tail (pics posted in the razor clubs) that deserved better than she was getting. I've had a lot of time on my hands lately and decided to give her the proper restoration she needed. Now it not only looks great, but after re-honing it she absolutely shaves amazing. A great cool water shave tonite.
