Razor: Autostrop "VALET"
Soap: ARCO creme
Mug: ARCO
Brush: ARCO "Lider" ( Leader)
Aftershock: none
Splash: TABAC (JADE)
The Arco cream is very smooth, lathers well, and gave my skin protection from the scratchy blade. That "Lider" is a huge brush and very pleasant and smooth from the wrapper with only a soak while i showered. The working ends of the bristles are all split and soft as nice as an old cabinet maker's varnish brush.
The little razor that could. a first for me. I found some NOS blades and dug the wee beasty from my to-do box and cleaned it well. Results: The blade needs some outside the razor honing and stropping. No cuts nor abrasions on my face. A close shave, but not very comfortable.
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

We were in the Teutoburg Forest...
You know this is the place, where Germanic tribes killed a Roman Legion "some" years ago...
The Battle of Teutoburg Forest in 9 AD occurred in or near this region, though the exact location is disputed. The Roman historian Gaius Cornelius Tacitus identified the location of the battle as saltus Teutoburgiensis (saltus meaning a forest valley in Latin), and the encounter was therefore called the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest. Recent excavations suggest that at least the final stages of the battle took place farther northwest, at Kalkriese, north of Osnabrück
Yesterday's shave that I didn't post 'cause the site was down :-(
Sunday
It really is a magical day here today. The bird song and the business of spring is almost annoying. This morning I slept late, then, on arising, bathed, took fresh hand ground coffee freshly brewed and took a walk to the top of Mount Torrens with the hound.
On returning, I again bathed, gave myself a haircut, cleaned and tidied my room; washed my sheets. I then retired to the garden after drinking two cups of Pu-erh tea and a cup of fruit melange tea mixed half and half with silver needle and Jasmine flower tea. I read ‘The Book Thief’ whilst drinking Carlsberg and watching the bees, the chickens, the cows and the sky.
Mid afternoon I shaved in my room with a pitcher of hot water drawn from the kitchen tap, ‘Boheme’ soap by Madame Scodioloi and a fine Swedish razor.
As I shaved the sounds of The Brian Jonestown Massacre’s ‘Strung Out In Heaven’ filled the room. The warm breeze blew the curtains…

Thanks To all the contributors to that thread what a great idea. My razor shaved like a dream this morning. The soap was amazing it provided great cushion glide and the scent was nice too. The long work week last week invaded the weekend as well. After several days with no shaving, It feels good to get my scrape on! The Windsor performed in typical stellar fashion when paired with the Rover. The naked Maxtom wiped away the stubble, and I'm ready to put the nose back to the grindstone.
Thank you, gentlemen, for the incredible shaves last week. I am so humbled to be allowed to post alongside your shaving art!

Prep: Lukewarm Shower, Clearly Natural Aloe Vera Soap
Razor: Torrey Barber Tip
Brush: Semogue 1305
Soap: Cella
AS: Nivea Double Action Balm, Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Finish: Clubman
Result: Great Monday morning shave. If I could figure out how to make the work week fly by like the period between Friday evening and Monday morning, I'd be one of the world's wealthiest men I'm sure. No shave yesterday, just a haircut so I had some really good stubble to mow this morning. The Torrey handled it in fine fashion though.

Totally amazing shots by all, gentlemen. I'm still recovering from some bug I went down with on Saturday. In bed all day yesterday and not shaved now for 4 days, which for a daily shaver feels like:banghead: Hopefully a photo will be posted tomorrow.

A good and simple shave today. The date of the razor really was a shock when I looked it up for the first time! Seems that it was a repop of the mid 1800's razors.
