Today: 2ºC expected, partly sunny. The Shave: Very good but the blade will be back on the Thuri for smoothening.
I was fortunate to find this little gem. It took a few hours, literally, to unpin, renew, and hone it. The work was all by hand. I used small moldmakers' hones to get as close to straight contours as possible. I think my Schick blades are thicker than that one. It definitely has returned the favor. I was concerned that the corrosion was through the bevel but it did hone clean. It seems to have had a tiny 2mm round stamp struck into the blade near the heel on the blade back. The blade, inserted and brazed in place, appears to be of a mixed composition steel.
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker

An all Acca Kappa shave is all I needed today. Accompanied by Blue Mitchell once more and finished with a good hot shower. Today's shave was dedicated to AIDA. The association for the defence of artists who fled from their home countries and have sought asylum elsewhere. The postcard that I bought is a work from Qiangli Liang originating from Guangzhou, China.
Today starts what I'm calling "Operation Annihilation." I'm not allowed to buy any more stuff until I finish some of the stuff I have. So I picked some I don't like as much or is almost gone.
