had to put the new knot to test , lost one hair , but i really like the way this black badger knot holds the lather , very soft also ..

Well, how did this sneak up on me? 1000 posts. A good time to reflect on my time here on SRP and say a BIG thank you to everyone who has helped me settle into this weird little addiction, as well as everyone who has offered so generously of their time and expertise not only to help me along my way, but also to create such a welcoming and gentlemanly (most of the time!) slice of the web. This C-MON is my best shaver. As near-perfect of a shave today as I've ever had, and no cuts! I find myself trying NOT to shave with it so I will work harder on getting my other razors up to this. It's pretty clear that most of my cuts are now related to struggling with sharpness of blade, plain and simple!
The TOBS Shave Shop was nice, but I think I've about settled on the Jermyn St. line as my favorite from TOBS.
As for after-shave, I'm jealously conserving every last drop of my Grafton sample. I've looked at getting the whole line, and it's a bit expensive!
Now I have to go through a bunch of samples that are something less than what I prefer, but hopefully I'll discover another jewel or two...

Wednesday
The J A Hellberg swished across the strop this morning like the lovely thing that it is, and then proceeded to swish across my face in two passes, leaving me happy and satisfied and ready for the day.
Proraso soap/cream is great in hotish weather and this morning I face lathered it rather than lathering in a bowl; in fact I rarely bowl lather these days. Floïd was once again choice of scent.
Afterwards, a reasonable cappuccino was manufactured by yours truly, the route to work was driven, the morning work routine was undertaken, lunch was had (warm lamb salad), the afternoon work schedule was endured, a carton of beer was purchased, the route home was travelled, the beer ‘Dos Equis’ is currently being ingested with astonishing rapidity…
BTW, have a guess at what the background to my picture is!! ;)
